Sailing Mission Trips to Bahamas

The Hurricane Dorian Relief Mission

Join us as a crew member and serve in our relief efforts to the Abaco Islands in the Bahamas. The Sea of Abaco and her surrounding islands are known for their beautiful white sand beaches, crystal clear waters and are a beautiful cruising grounds for sailors. It is also home on Elbow Cay to historic Hope Town Light House built in the 1860’s. The damage in the Abaco’s from Hurricane Dorian is heart breaking especially in the Marsh Harbor area. We have a four year history in this area from serving with the Boy Scouts of America's High Adventure Sailing Program, whose home base is in Marsh Harbor, Abaco.

The Service

Disaster relief is on-going. After the initial clean up, which helps stabilize a community, the work of rebuilding begins.
People become weary, then discouragement and depression becomes a threat to the well being of many. The over whelming task ahead is monumental.

Rebuilding requires continued clean up and the tarping of roofs that are still in disrepair from the storm, and all types of construction.
Ministry to the people through prayer is vital to their well-being as we are body, mind, and spirit.
To aid others in their recovery from such a devastating situation, we will be working with
Eldon Johnson Outreach Ministries International of the Bahamas.
